LEAF EATER DIET Leaf Eater Food can be fed with a few fruits, vegetables and bamboo to
give your primates variety and natural sources of moisture and fiber.
There is no scientific reason to have different foods for similar groups
of primates. Leaf Eater Food will not lose its shape when moistened with
water to give animals time to adjust to this new food, or if the target
animal is already hampered with tooth or gum disease. If Leaf Eater Food
is fed alone, it can be an effective dentifrice. This product is an
extruded food for use in the feeding of leaf eating primates, such as
colobus, langurs, and howlers as well as tree kangaroos, red pandas, and
other animals with higher fiber requirements. This product is formulated
for breeding, growth, raising young, and other stressful periods of the
life cycle, as well as for maintenance. The product is also a good high
fiber diet for older primates, and is suitable for gorillas and
orangutans. It does not contain gliadin (wheat gluten) and may be helpful
in feeding primates with a sensitivity to this protein. This product

ACACIA GUM Acacia Gum diluted with water into a consistency similar to honey and then offered in dishes, the more animals in the group the more dishes are added. Marmosets have a special gut morphology to digest plant gums, I feel it is of great importance that they receive a certain amount (approximately 40ml per animal) every day.
