Fat-Soluble Vitamins

These are absorbed along with fat during digestion. They may be stored in the body, which gives them the potential to cause toxicity if consumed in excess.

Choline - A component of many biological membranes and fat transport molecules in the blood. It serves as the precursor to many substances including the neurotransmitter acetylcholine.

▪  Vitamin A - Essential for maintaining normal skin and mucous membranes and helps maintain resistance to infection.

▪  Vitamin D - Needed for proper absorption of calcium and phosphorus from the intestinal tract. Often associated with vitamin A.

▪  Vitamin E  - A potent antioxidant that helps maintain skin, mucous membranes, cardiovascular function and a healthy circulatory system. It also protects cells against damaging oxygen "free-radicals"

▪  Vitamin K - Necessary for the proper clotting of blood.

Water - Soluble Vitamins

These are not stored extensively in the body so frequent consumption is necessary.

▪  Vitamin B1 (Thiamin) - Essential for normal maintenance of the digestive system, nervous system and assists with cognitive disorders.

▪  Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin) - Important in promoting the release of energy from carbohydrates, fats and proteins. It also aids in maintaining the integrity of red blood cells.

About our foods ...

The most important part of exotic animal care is their nutritional needs. Supplying the correct nutrition and balanced diets for exotic animals is the basis of our company. Through the years we have experimented with many diverse ingredients and formulas to determine the best possible 'species specific' foods for individual animal groups. Testing for our formula begins in the laboratory where microscopic examination determines nutritional values and vitamin content . The second stage of testing begins on our own colony of animals, where all our foods and supplements are fed for extended periods, and monitored to ensure palatability, good breeding results, and no deficiencies. When we are satisfied with the results from our first two stages of testing, we then send samples of our diets to qualified veterinarians and breeders for examination and use. Our thorough manufacturing and testing procedures ensure that you receive the finest ‘species specific’ animal diets available.  Quality control is key to exotic mammal diets that deliver freshness, you can see it in our foods and your pets can smell and taste it. The animals reap the rewards through better nutrition and health. All of our diets are made with the freshest all natural ingredients . They are guaranteed 100 %. If you are not satisfied, return unused portion for a full refund.

Manganese - Assists in the activity of many enzymes, including some involved in lipid, protein and carbohydrate metabolism.

▪  Phosphorus - Important for carbohydrate metabolism, cell membrane structure, transport processes, muscle function and energy storage.

▪  Potassium - Essential to energy metabolism and glycogen and protein synthesis.

Probiotics - are live microorganisms administered in adequate amounts which confer a beneficial health effect on the host.

▪  Selenium - A trace mineral important in the manufacturing of an enzyme that protects the red blood cells and cell membranes. Also assists in supporting a healthy immune system function and neutralizes free radicals.
