The Sahara Cage offers long-term usability due to its resilient, waterproof PVC construction, eliminating the issue of pet waste seeping into wood like other cages. The ample display space with a full-length detachable acrylic front panel and ready-to-view hinged top acrylic window provide the perfect habitat for your pet.  PVC (waterproof) construction and maximized ventilation, the cage features multiple air inlets on the sides and back. Classy and polished, it is ideal for a variety of small animals and Reptiles including Tortoises, Iguanas and Lizards.  Some assembly required.

Large Cage: 40" Wide x 20" Deep x 21" High (9.7 cubic feet of space)

Ideal for: Hamsters (Robo, Syrian, Teddy Bear, Dwarf, etc.), Gerbils, Degus, Rats, Hedgehogs, Reptiles (Lizards, Old World Chameleons, Iguanas), and other small animals. 

Interior illumination is optional- sold separately. Back panel has a small cut-out for a wire.

Cage Heaters: For safety, ceramic heat emitters should be mounted at least 12 inches away to prevent warping or melting. For higher wattage emitters (100W or more), a distance of 18 inches is recommended. Always use a ceramic socket with a metal dome rated for the bulb’s wattage, and pair it with a thermostat to regulate temperature. Ensure adequate ventilation and consider using a heat guard to prevent direct contact with the cage or your pet.

Proper cages can help reduce stress levels. Thoroughly inspect before use and inspect for damages regularly. Wipe product clean with a soft, damp cloth with soap and warm water for a more thorough washing. Try Kage Kleen- a gentle but hard working pet-safe cleaner.

Expectedly fantastic

It was really easy to put together, simple as well. A bit on the heavier side- but that is only a plus if you have a little escape artist. The front panel NEEDS to be sealed though, as it easily slips from its place. It's one of the bigger sizes you can get at this price point and very much worth it.

Great enclosure

I recommend these cages for small mammals like short tailed opossums and hedgehogs. These are what I sell and tell people to get for their new pet. Holds heat easy to put together you can add a lock if you wanted. I installed lights in mine and even added a divider to one. To make two in one. Great product.

I love it :)

(Bought the large) As I was setting it up I was loving it more and more. The size is perfect, I had little trouble setting it up all on my own (the couch did help to prop it up for a bit). The plexiglass is a little flimsy like other have stated, but I don’t think other buyers realized there’s film on both sides of the glass- some were saying you can’t see through it- there’s a foggy patterned film and foggy clear film on the other side. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. It also got delivered 6 days sooner than expected which is a huge plus. I couldn’t recommend this cage more! I’ve tried other cages and this by far was worth every penny and I don’t even have my little robo in there yet!

Easy to put together

My daughters hamster loves all the room, she and I put it together in a few minutes. We will probably look for some sort of glue or sealant for the bottom of the plexiglass. This unit is well made and on the heavy side.
