Good wheel almost no noise
This wheel is very well made. I like the green color, and it is a very nice size. I have three male rats that are growing up fast and they have ample room and seem to enjoy the wheel. It is completely silent - which is great because my rat enclosure is at my work and doesn't disturb anyone. The wheel is great quality and an affordable price. I highly recommend it!

I don't know why they won't even try it. I got the parts to attach it to the side of the cage and the wheel is really quiet and smooth. The trouble is, my rats are such creatures of habit that no one would try the new wheel. There are 2 in their double cage and the Silent Runner was meant to be a replacement for an even larger but completely open wheel that only one rat will use. I thought if it looked like a larger version of the partially closed Savic wheel they have that they'd go for it but no luck. I'll put this in their travel cage for when we leave town and have them with us, and I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Purchased this for our pet degus in July 2024. They enjoy it and it is definitely much quieter than other comparable wheels. However, in three months, they have managed to chew the band that holds the wheel together, so it is lopsided and no longer works properly. According to the description, this should have been the proper size equipment for them, but it doesn’t seem built to last. I do expect chewing because they chew everything , but I had an expectation that a more expensive wheel would last longer than three months. Similar silent wheels purchased from other companies for our other rodents at the same time are still in use and functional.

We understand that rodents can be quite the chewers and unfortunately, our Silent Runners are not chew-proof. However, we do offer replacement parts, including the front plate, if you would like to continue using the wheel. Alternatively, we would recommend our all-metal Treadmill Wheel as a more durable option. It has a non-toxic powder coat finish and a solid metal stand, making it 'chew-proof' for even the most determined chewers.
