I’ve read some reviews saying it was hard to put together but it honestly wasn’t bad, just time consuming. It spills bedding more than I wanted but it’s a really good cage. The ratties love all the room and it’s easy for our old man to get around in. So far very happy with the quality and design. It also seems like the designers really listen to the comments left by different buyers because some of the problems I read in the reviews had been fixed since then. Love how it’s expandable too. Will definitely consider buying more levels in the future.
It's amazing! Easy to put together and great quality. Only things I would change are i wish the scatter guards were taller. I also wish there was an option for double doors.
I searched long and hard for a suitable cage that has as many good features as possible, and I believe this cage to be one of the best, especially for the price. There’s plenty of space for my Chin to reside and for all of her goodies and necessities to be stored underneath. It also comes with feeders that can be hung on the walls, which is a nice touch. It is fairly difficult to assemble. I would recommend getting helping hand if possible. The drawer-like removable floors make it so easy for cleaning. The plastic covers provided are a thoughtful and cool idea. They work but they’re a bit loud and won’t fully catch everything. To fix the noise I had the bars that hold them into place wrapped in paper towel, and now it’s a lot quieter. Eventually i’m gonna get the add on. I love that there is an option to add more later.
The cage is wonderful. I was a bit disappointed that some of the items were not in place such as the door handles and the tray handle and tabs that keep the tray in. Things that could have been done in factory and still shipped safely. Also connecting the 4 sides to the base was not an easy task. I could not get holes to line up. I also had to the squeeze the hooks on the ladder between levels closed because it kept falling down. Two days a few curse words, the cage is put together and my chinchillas are happy.
The cage is well-made and has many great features that other cages lack. The quality appears to be very good. However, I can't give it five stars because the color match between the top and bottom parts is inconsistent; the bottom is a dark black, while the top is a lighter gray-silver. This difference is somewhat annoying for me to look at during the day—perhaps it's just my OCD—since I would have preferred them to match, especially since it cost a good amount and the cage is in my front living room. If your room is dark, you might not notice the difference as much. But overall is a nice cage
