Poor quality

I have a Syrian hamster and I’ve had them in the past. It can be hard to find a wheel for them as it is but it’s even harder to find a wheel for a Syrian that is on the larger side, like mine (8inches). I figured I’d try this wheel since it comes in a wide size. The wheel wiggles so much. This is absolutely not worth the price. I bought the cage attachment as well as the stand so I can try both in case one option doesn’t work as well in the cage. I attached it to the cage and immediately noticed it wiggles. My hammy seems to enjoy it for a couple seconds before having to pause because the wheel is shaking. I’m not sure how long this thing will last given the EXTREMELY flimsy plastic. The size is great for Syrian hamsters, but it’s like the plastic around the ball bearings is curved, causing the wheel to be super wobbly so it scrapes the wall of the cage it is attached to here and there, making noise.

Quiet, functional, and a favorite for my rats!

This wheel is very well made. I like the green color, and it is a very nice size. I have three male rats that are growing up fast and they have ample room and seem to enjoy the wheel. It is completely silent - which is great because my rat enclosure is at my work and doesn't disturb anyone. The wheel is great quality and an affordable price. I highly recommend it!

I love it. Wish my creatures of habit did

I don't know why they won't even try it. I got the parts to attach it to the side of the cage and the wheel is really quiet and smooth. The trouble is, my rats are such creatures of habit that no one would try the new wheel. There are 2 in their double cage and the Silent Runner was meant to be a replacement for an even larger but completely open wheel that only one rat will use. I thought if it looked like a larger version of the partially closed Savic wheel they have that they'd go for it but no luck. I'll put this in their travel cage for when we leave town and have them with us, and I'll keep my fingers crossed.
