The UVB Sun lamp with bulb does include the flexible pole which measures about 72 inches tall. A typical household lamp or light fixture usually houses an incandescent bulb which has none of the aforementioned benefits. Optimal for use with larger cages where greater than 12" of UVB penetration is needed. Also recommended for use above screen covers which can filter out up to 50% of the UVB wavelengths.
