IMPORTANCE OF CALCIUM: Research has shown that natural feed with balanced Ca:P ratios increases animal health and contributes to stronger bones and shiny feathers. Calcium is especially important for laying birds because a lack of it can result in poor laying, soft shells, and can cause behavior problems such as egg eating as the bird tries to recoup the much needed calcium.

Wild Birds not enthused

The product looks excellent to me, but so far it's not a hit at my bird feeder. I get lots of juncos, titmice, sparrows, wrens, cardinals, woodpeckers, mourning doves, and squirrels, eating sunflower seed and other seeds. But they don't seem to like Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae.

Hi David,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our Dried Black Soldier Fly Larvae. We're sorry to hear that your wild birds aren't as excited about it as we are! While it may take some time for them to get used to a new type of food, we appreciate your feedback and will certainly pass it along to our team. If you have any other questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. Happy bird watching!
